Some other cups have more parts to lose and deep crevices that don't exactly come clean in the wash. This one works like a charm, in more ways than one: the kids like it, it is comfortable to hold, the tilted spout makes it easier to drink from since it doesn't require their head to tilt far back, and its BPA free!
